CLICK HERE to read an study on prostate cancer surgery in Melbourne published by A/Prof Moon as the lead author, confirming a greater number of patients now treated for more aggressive and higher stage cancer than ten years ago.  This is also in line with European and North American data and confirms the increasing use of active surveillance, or monitoring, of low risk prostate cancer, as well as the recent increase in presentation of men with more advanced disease partly due to a recent decline in prostate cancer screening.
